Hope Church Services

————————————————————————————————————————–

Due to the new Covid-19 restrictions under the orange traffic light setting, unfortunately we will only be able to meet together with 50 worshippers at a time.

Because of these limitations, Hope Church will be holding two Sunday services, one at 9:00AM and 11:00AM. All people are welcome at all of our services.

If you would like to attend either service, please RSVP using the link below:

For further information, please see below for a statement from our Senior Minister, Stu Crosson.

Responding to Covid Regulations in Faith

Hope Church has made the decision to not exclude anyone from public worship based on vaccination status. We do so primarily for theological reasons, not wanting anyone to be excluded from hearing the gospel of Jesus Christ and ensuring anyone is able to freely worship our living God together. We also make this decision based on the research that indicates the vaccinated are just as effective at transmitting Covid 19 as the unvaccinated.

This means the traffic light system the NZ government is implementing will force greater restrictions upon us. Under the orange level, we will only be able to meet together with 50 worshippers. This capacity limit does not include workers or volunteers required to operate our worship service.

Of course, we want to ensure everyone is kept as physically safe as possible when Covid does re-emerge in Dunedin. We will continue to follow the Government health protection protocols and encourage anyone with flu like symptoms to stay home as you consider the health of others. We encourage mask wearing and will be making rapid antigen testing available to our workers.

From this Sunday we will be offering two services: 9:00AM and 7:00PM. If we need to offer more services in the future we will do so for the glory of God.

I said on Monday that Covid is not the most important thing for you to be focussed on. It is not. As we journey toward Christmas, let me encourage you to seek first God’s kingdom and His righteousness. As John reminds us “This calls for patient endurance and faithfulness on the part of the saints” (Revelation 13:10).

Yours in Christ

Stu Crosson

Senior Minister for Hope Church Dunedin.

@ Hope Church…

Our vision is to raise up next generation disciples of Jesus Christ who impact the world. We are Anglican in character and align with the majority of Anglicans around the globe. Primarily we are shaped by the character of God and so we are a biblical, vibrant and missional expression of Christianity. We are confident in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others (confident evangelism) and intentional in growing disciples (relational discipleship) who live their whole life for God’s glory.

All are welcome in the name of our Lord Jesus who gave his life that “whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

WE'D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU
