At Hope Church we are committed to the personal growth of everyone, whether you are a new Christian or have been a follower of Jesus Christ for many years. The main way we do this is to encourage membership of a Life Group but we also help people to form prayer partnerships or mentoring relationships and from  time to time we offer short courses on particular issues.

God’s plan for us is that we live Christ centred-lives in loving and supportive relationships that reflect His love and grace to the world. At Hope Church we believe that an authentic and nurturing community is the key to transformed lives and spiritual growth. We invite you to join us in building relationships that challenge and encourage each other to become all that God intended us to be.

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
John 13:34-35 (ESV)

life groups

Life groups are at the heart of Hope Church. Belonging to a life group enables you to build relationships that will help you in your walk with God. Members of life groups pray together, study the Bible together as well as support each other in practical ways. Whatever your age or stage in life we have a life group for you.

“Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; tremble before him, all the earth.”
Psalm 96:9

Worship has to do with giving ourselves to God. William Temple said “Worship is the submission of all of our nature to God.” It involves his holiness, truth, beauty, love and purpose all gathered up in adoration.

Worship is not something we just do on Sunday when we gather together as a church. Every aspect of our life can and perhaps should be an act of worship. The mother who cares for a child, the poet who writes a verse, the farmer who tills the soil, the follower who prays Jesus help me; ‘whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God, Paul instructs us’.

Public worship at Hope Church is guided by Gods word and Spirit. When you join with us in worship our prayer is;

“With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation.”
Isaiah 12:3

At Hope Church we believe that God sends us into the world in the power of the Holy Spirit to proclaim his plan of salvation in the redeeming life, death and resurrection of Jesus from the dead (Acts 1:8). Our message is “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. This promise belongs to you and to your children and to all who are far off, to all whom the Lord our God will call to Himself.” (Acts 2:38). We are also committed to expressing the love of God to our neighbours through acts of service, to the glory of God and for the extension of his kingdom in our community, nation and throughout the world (Mark 12:30-31).
